New Year’s Day is all but forgotten. Your resolutions are a distant memory.
Even though January is scarcely a week gone it may as well have been years. Dry January is long forgotten.
All that excitement at the start of the year where did it go? It got crowded out by price rises, it got buried under work stress, it got frozen under a layer of frost. And then drowned in a sea of booze.
It’s no wonder that February gets damp, it’s a dreary and depressing time of year. The holidays are a memory, and the summer seems unimaginably far off. Drinking seems like the only viable option.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. It doesn’t have to be so bleak. You have the power. You can restart the year. You can get to grips with your drinking. It’s easier than you think.
